FORMAT | 8 selected participants will engage in weekly group sessions in-person with Oz
COMMITMENT | 5 weekly sessions running for 2 hours.
SUPPORT | Participants receive mentorship & support from Oz throughout the program.

ABOUT
OZ MALIK
Oz Malik is Film/stage actor born in Melbourne, Australia. His acting experience was cultivated at the National Theatre of Victoria, The Australia Film & Television Academy and Brave studios. Oz Malik has been a theatre and screen actor who has been involved in stage shows, short films, campaigns, TV, voice over works, Feature films and hosting roles.
In 2026 Oz participated in the SBS Digital Originals program with co-writer Noor Hoblos; Further developing Loops, a web series centred on a pair of brothers trying to run their families failing rug shop. This projected was initially conceived during the 2024 - 2026 South East program in a very similar context to this program.
SOUTH EAST PROJECT
Between 2024 and 2025 Oz worked with a group of grassroots filmmakers to develop and produce a proof of concept short film project.
This program provided participants with the opportunity to learn storytelling techniques and then apply them in a practical setting. Rug Store was released in 2026 at an in-personal screening event.
