Donations to the Cinespace Production Fund provide direct cash support to Residency filmmakers’ production budgets —turning powerful ideas into finished work.

How the Fund Works

    Awards go straight to Residency filmmakers — no extra application, no extra hurdles

  • Annual pool.‍ ‍
    Each year, all donations (less a 5% admin fee) will be shared equally between resident projects to support their production needs.

    An independent Public Fund Committee oversees awards to ensure fairness and transparency.

  • No. Funding flows through the Residency -you don’t apply directly to this Fund.

  • Gifts support the annual award pool for Residency filmmakers. We can acknowledge donor interests, but the Committee allocates awards equally to protect fairness and independence.

  • Essential administration and compliance so more money reaches filmmakers, sustainably.

  • Varies with the size of the pool and Residency cohort each year; the Committee aims for the greatest production impact per dollar.

  • All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia. We’ll send you a gift receipt within 14 days — simply keep it for your records and refer to the ATO for claiming guidance.
