PHASE 1 - Skills BOOTCAMP WORKSHOPS
After the selection of 13 participants from over 100 applicants, our cohort undertook 5 days of intensive workshops for 8 production departments in Phase 1 - Script, Production, Camera, Art, Post-Production, Sound, Electrical and Grip departments. Facilitators were award-winning and decades-long practising screen creatives:

During the workshops, participants were expected to pitch a narrative premise for the No Waiting web series with simple restraints - 5 characters in 1 location that must be a clinic waiting room. In the final sessions, participants were given 2 minutes to pitch, and the most voted concept would inform the series arc of the web series.
Faysal Farah's pitch for the fictitious Hype Unit who must overcome a government audit over their unconventional practices - all while working out of their office in a clinic waiting room - set off the journey for season 1 of No Waiting.
Participants were assigned to production departments, and development began for the web series.
