DIVERSITY STATEMENT
Cinespace supports the Victorian screen industry and culture to be representative of our intercultural community. We work to create greater cultural diversity on screen and behind the scenes.
We foster the creation, appreciation and dissemination of media content by and about people from marginalised ethnic (cultural and language diverse) communities and First Nations people. We advocate for responsible self-representation.
While cultural diversity remains our core mission and priority, we value an intersectional perspective and seek to not exclude others who by their identity feel underrepresented on screen. We welcome opportunities to engage with other traditionally underrepresented communities in Victoria in our work, or to collaborate with other organisations who provide access and equity for those communities. This includes women, LGBTQI+, filmmakers with a disability, mature age filmmakers and filmmakers living in regional areas.
